Overview
This 525,00 sq. ft. sports complex features a flexible roof structure. The top of the “Carrier Dome” is 165 feet above the playing surface, and the special Vulcraft joists bear on plates that are attached to the crown truss structure with a round pin. The joists top chords had “rocker plates” prefabricated to allow the deck to flex. A fabric roof membrane is suspended from the steel.
