Sheldon Chalet

Denali National Park, AK

Sheldon Chalet is perched on a rock island within the Ruth Glacier. It is surrounded by 11,000’ to 15,000’ peaks with Denali, North America’s tallest mountain looming in the background. Vulcraft steel joists were used to form the bridge between the chalet and the helipad. Verco deck supports the floor and roof. All materials were flown in by helicopter from the nearest road system twenty miles away.
